Data Licensing & Attribution

Airframes aggregates aviation data contributed in real time by a global network of volunteer feeder stations. When you use the API, you're building on that community's effort — please use the data responsibly and credit the source.

Attribution​

If you display or redistribute Airframes data, please attribute it to Airframes and the feeder community, for example:

Data provided by Airframes.io and its community of feeders.

A link back to https://airframes.io is appreciated.

Acceptable use​

  • The API is subject to the Terms of Service.
  • Respect the rate limits for your access tier (see Pricing) — the X-RateLimit-* headers tell you where you stand.
  • Don't attempt to re-identify or de-anonymize individuals from station or message data.

Redistribution & commercial use​

Bulk redistribution, resale, or commercial use beyond your access tier requires prior arrangement. Contact api@airframes.io to discuss licensing for your use case.
